One of the elements of the game is arrow towers can can be purchased by players at specific nodes in the map.
They will cost gold, wood, iron and give players something to spend match resources on.
They will be very effective for defending positions against a handful of AI's or an unprepared player.
Destroying enemy arrow towers will yield more exp and loot than killing the average AI unit.
Since they are not a tremendously large aspect of the game, they probably won't be part of 1.0 of the game.
As you might expect, these towers shoot arrows or other projectiles at nearby foes.
There are a few different kinds, here are a few:
Tier 1 Arrow tower
1 Directional Stationary Arrow Tower
Shoots at foes that walk in front of it's arrow slits.
Tier 1 Rock Tower
1 Directional stationary Rock Cannon
Shoots foes with large rocks if they walk in front of one of it's cannons.
Tier 1 Magic Tower
1 Directional
Blasts foes that walk in front of it with a magic blast.
Tier 2 Arrow tower
4 Directional Stationary Arrow Tower
Shoots at foes that walk in front of it's arrow slits.
Tier 2 Rock Tower
4 Directional stationary Rock Cannon
Shoots foes with large rocks if they walk in front of one of it's cannons.
Tier 2 Magic Tower
4 Directional
Blasts foes that walk in front of 1 on it's 4 directions with a magic blast.
Tier 3 Arrow Tower
Aiming Arrow Tower
Locks onto nearby foes and slowly shoots arrows directly at them.
Tier 3 Rock Tower
Aiming Rock Tower
Locks onto nearby foes and slowly shoots large rocks directly at them.
Tier 3 Magic Tower
Aiming Magic Tower
Locks onto nearby foes and shoots exploding magic projectiles directly at them.
Barriers
Players will be able to place barricades in choke point areas to slow an enemies advance.
Bridges will also be destroyable, similarly separating areas of the map temporarily.
