Guild Halls and the Marketplace are Castles in the Sky's version of a town, where PvP is prohibited and players can trade and interact with each other in a peaceful environment.
Everything may seem small in this screenshot, but running around on the ground the maps feel very large. The trees and pantheon looking thing are just huge.
The reason they are called guild halls is because only members of Red Team can enter the Red Guild Hall, this means the people you encounter in your Guild Hall are the same people you'll be fighting alongside.
Guild Halls and Marketplace both have booths to set up player shops, the only difference is whether you'll be selling good to your team only or all teams.
Banks, skill trainers and shops will all be in the guild hall section.
Eventually an Airship will be at the dock, allowing players to transit to other sky platforms as they are added.
